Natural Stonework

Natural flagstone is quarried & comes in various colors & thicknesses. Their are two basic shapes, irregular & square cut. Flagstone can be mortared to a concrete slab & can also be laid on grade like interlock pavers. These granite, limestone & sandstone products originate from numerous locations worldwide.

Armour Stone is quarried & comes in large sized rectilinear shapes. Armor stone is available in various colour shades: chocolate, dark grey, beige & buff. These make excellent retaining walls.

Glacier Rock is available in softened shapes attributing to its transit during our last ice age. Originally rolled along under tons of ice some ten thousand years ago, we will bring them to rest on your property. Orillia Cap Rock is distintive with horizontal fissures. Part of the Canadian Shield, these are quarried in Northern Ontario. Manitoulin Rock has similar fissures but comes in more varied shapes.

River rock is available in smaller sizes & a variety of colours. Smoothed by centuries of water erostion, these make for attractive area fills.

We also use man-made stone tiles for patios. These are available in many colours & geometric shapes. They offer superior structural strength & long lasting durability.

Flagstone Patios

Beautiful & durable natural stone patios. Flagstone patios may be constructed on a base of polymeric sand & placed between the joints or seams. Polymeric sand stops ants & weeds from encroaching on the installation as it fuses to an impermeable barrier. Flagstone slabs may also be inset within a poured concrete base.
